About Us
Polocrosse in
Limerick began in Rathcannon Equestrian Centre. In 1997
Rathcannon closed and polocrosse moved to Collins
Equestrian Centre just two miles down the road. In 1999
"Limerick Polocrosse Club" was established.
In 2003 we leveled and seeded an
international size grass pitch. This pitch would be
comparable to any of the top soccer or hurling pitches
in the country. (Sometimes it feels a shame to let any
horse gallop through it). We also have a flood lit all
weather pitch (100m x 55m) which consists of a specially
graded silt sand. This sand makes it easy to pick up and
bounce the ball and is kind to horses legs and
tendons.
We have polocrosse all year round with
just one month off. People of all ages and levels of
competency play here. We host a special night during the
week for beginners and kids. We also have a qualified
in-house riding instructor for those learning to
ride.
The social life within the club is second
to none. The craic is always mighty "down the local". So
if you're an adrenaline junkie or would just like to try
something different and new, come and join us, Limerick
Polocrosse Club will be more than happy to oblige. You
don't have to own your own horse and most importantly
you don't need to be a
Millionaire!!!!!
